Job Description
NLP Logix is recruiting for an Operations Intern to join its growing team of IT and Business professionals. This position is for a part-time employee, will be based out of Jacksonville, FL.
NLP Logix is a Data Science product and services company based in Jacksonville, FL that specializes in AI Solution Development, Machine Learning, and Advanced Analytics for a variety of use cases, industries, and customers across the United States.

Internships at NLP Logix are typically 90-day opportunities. This internship will provide the candidate with well-rounded exposure to various client types and different internal processes.
The Operations Intern will work under the general direction of the Project Manager and will work primarily as a support function to internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be task-oriented, have thorough attention to detail, and have strong writing skills.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Project Management:
o Partners with Project Manager to create a seamless, end to end business process solution for the client
o Assist with ensuring that all JIRA tickets are correctly tracked and managed to ensure efficiency and ability to report on challenges and delays
o Assist with capturing minutes/meeting notes for all internal and client facing meetings
o Ensure that all project documentation and meeting notes are organized in Confluence
o Assist with Support & Maintenance agreement task tracking and follow ups
o Internal application set up and configuration for all new projects (Teams/JIRA/Confluence), this would include translating SOW documents into a Confluence Project Overview Page
o Assist with burn reports/time tracking for projects
Business Analysis & Documentation:
o Captures requirements in a standardized format as part of developing technical documentation
o Assists in the process of developing user guides
o Translates client business processes and requirements into business process and data flow documentation
o Works in tandem with the other work stream specialists to correctly map out data requirements for their work streams
o Translates documented and signed-off functional business processes and requirements into user stories
o Actively contributes to product knowledge through self-study, meeting attendance, team trainings, and project participation
o Assist with organizing and identifying additions for proposal content
Qualifications:
- On track for obtaining a bachelor’s degree by Spring 2022, preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science, or another relevant field
- Strong writing skills with attention to grammar
- Ability and desire to drive change through high-energy, can-do attitude, comfortable working in a high-performance, entrepreneurial, open-door environment
- Must be an outstanding communicator who understands how to ensure long term success
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously after receiving direction on a task
- Attention to detail / detail oriented
- Ability to track and maintain progress of project tasks
- Must have a positive attitude as a team player in a collaborative setting
- Willingness to quickly learn new technology and systems required to complete the job (Teams, JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
