Test Automation Specialist

Job Duties:
 
  • Analyzing, designing and implementing QA testing strategy for web-based and Client/Server applications using Selenium Automation tools (Selenium Web Driver, Selenium, IDE, and Selenium GRID) with Java;
  • Developing automation tests from acceptance test criteria requirements and develop Behavior Driven Development automation tests for cloud-based applications and portal APIs;
  • Carrying out Ruby test automation;
  • Designing Automation Test Plans, Test Strategy and Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM);
  • Performing mobile web or mobile app testing, Functional, Non- Functional, Smoke, Integration, and Regression testing;
  • Writing complex queries and scripts using SQL;
  • Creating test automation or other object-oriented programming language in an Agile/Lean development environment;
  • Creating test automation frameworks;
  • Managing defects, securing fixes and re-running tests;
  • Organizing and managing test automation code assets;
  • Creating and implementing test plans for all phases of development, including Master Test strategies, test data management strategies, risk and dependency mitigation strategies and Release and Regression Test Planning;
  • Tracking and reporting appropriate testing metrics to stakeholders;
  • Collaborating with business partners throughout the testing phases;
  • Devising strategy for use of automated testing vs manual testing.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering related field and 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered or a related role working in an Agile (Scrum) environment developing Behavior Driven Development (BDD) automation tests and using Java, JIRA, Core Java, Cucumber, Selenium Web Driver, Selenium, IDE, Selenium GRID, Postman, REST Assured, SQL, MySQL, Jenkins, TestNG, Maven, and Hybrid Frameworks.
  • Current assignment through Modis, Inc.’s Jacksonville, FL headquarters to a worksite in Brea, CA, but must be willing to travel and/or relocate within commuting distance of various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. for long or short-term projects.
